Bugatti has revealed the third model in their six-part edition Les Légendes de Bugatti, the Legend “Meo Constantini.” A close friend of company founder Ettore Bugatti, Meo Constantini was the head of Bugatti’s racing team for eight years and two-time winner of the Targa Florio. Reminiscent of the Bugatti Type 35 in which Constantini won most of his races, the car design is based on the current Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. It features an 8-liter W16 engine with 1200 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 – 100 km in 2.6 seconds. In April 2013 the Vitesse was driven to a top speed of 408.84 kph with the roof down, making it the fastest production roadster ever built.

The body is primarily constructed of carbon fiber and painted in a new “Bugatti Dark Blue Sport” color. The aluminum parts are hand polished and painted in a clear lacquer, unique to Bugatti. Upholstered in cognac-toned and dark blue leather, the interior also features laser-cut racing scenes and vintage car motifs in honor of Meo Constantini’s racing career in the 1920s. His embroidered signature is on the head restraints and a silhouette of the Targa Florio race route adorns the rear center box.

The Legend Edition “Meo Costantini” will set you back €2.09 million excluding taxes and transport, and as with all Bugatti Legend cars is limited to a run of only three vehicles.
