Following yesterday’s leak of the Huracán LP 610-4, today Lamborghini officially unveiled the long-awaited replacement to the Gallardo. Borrowing heavily from the Aventador’s sleek styling, the head and taillights bare a strong resemblance to the Gallardo, which in turn, draw inspiration from the Reventón.

In case you’re wondering about numbers in the name, the “610-4″ refers to the amount of power delivered to all four wheels by the V10 engine, while “Huracán” was the name of a “fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed…known for his outstanding courage and strong sense of attack. He fought in Alicante in August 1879, showing his unrelenting character and remaining defiant and invincible, thus entering into the legend of fighting bulls’ history.”

Specs include reaching 62 mph in a hard-to-fathom 3.2 seconds and 124 mph in 9.9 seconds. Quite impressive given the beast’s power is 18.5 miles per gallon on the U.S. cycle. The Huracán will make its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March, but before that, will take part in 130 different events in 60 cities around the globe.
