The new bodywork, all composed of carbon fiber panels, consists of a new front bumper, new front wings, a rear bumper, a rear diffuser, side skirts, a new engine cover, and a large rear spoiler. The engine’s output has also been significantly increased, by 288 horsepower, taking the total to 988 horsepower.
The upgrades to the engine include new high-flow fuel pumps, new fuel lines, new injectors, a remapped ECU, and most significantly, a pair of turbochargers to force-feed the 6.5 litre V12.
Of course work like this doesn’t come cheap. But then neither do Aventadors. DMC’s body work alone costs $89,000. While the engine upgrades come in at a whopping $134,350. Still, that’s peanuts compared to the $3,000,000 Lamborghini Veneno, and that’s only got 650 horsepower.
