Kratos to Supply UH-60 MEDEVAC Crew Training Systems to US Army

Under the multi-million dollar contract, the company will supply unspecified units of simulated full-fidelity medical support equipment suites (MSES), to help the army train its flight medic students for operation of all on-board systems.
Kratos Training Solutions senior vice-president Jose Diaz said the company has been providing training systems for the UH-60 platform over the past ten years, and is now looking to continue advancement of air crew training systems for the army.
Capable of replicating the confined environment of the air ambulance, the MSES is designed to train flight medics in provision of treatment, stabilisation and in-flight medical care to the critically injured or ill personnel during transportation aboard the air ambulance.
Equipped with a fully functional medical interior kit, the system can also be modified to support scenario-based team mission training programmes.
Work under the contract will be carried out under a subcontract to USfalcon for scientific, professional and other technical services.
Kratos also provides several training solutions to the US Army and allied militaries on a range of mission critical platforms, including the CH-47F Chinook, AH-64A Apache, M2/M3A2 ODS and M2/M3A3 Bradley vehicles, M270 multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) and M147 high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS).
Powered by two General Electric T700-GE-701 engines, the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter is designed to conduct tactical troop and equipment transport, medical evacuation, command-and-control, search and rescue armed escort, electronic warfare and executive transport missions.
